Online
When you donate online to Our Savior’s Lutheran Church (OSLC), you can choose exactly where your money is going. Choose from a general offering, or direct your donation to our High School Youth, Kids of the Kingdom, or the KidZone.
Flowers
To help beautify our worship space with flowers in recognition of a special occasion, or recognition or remembrance of a loved one, we offer the following ways to sign-up.
Sign-up on the Flower Chart near the church office door, or
Call Lisa, our receptionist, at 605-642-3715 to save the date.
Bring the flowers or have them delivered to the church during regular office hours, Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.
Information about the special flowers will be included in Sunday’s worship bulletin if Lisa has that information by Thursday before the bulletin is printed.
Endowment
The Endowment Fund
Our Savior’s Lutheran Church created the Endowment Fund to provide people with a way to financially support OSLC into the future. Principal funds in the Endowment are held in perpetuity, meaning they are never spent or depleted; however, the investment earnings are used each year to provide ministry over and above our normal operating budget.
Past uses of the investment earnings include scholarships for students from our congregation attending an ELCA college, financial assistance for kids going to one of our Outdoor Ministries or VBS Day Camp, capital expenditures for the upkeep and expansion of our physical facilities, and expansion of ministries beyond our walls into the community or into the world.
The Endowment Fund is invested in the Mission Investment Fund of the ELCA, and in Faith Community Foundation through Thrivent Financial.
The OSLC Endowment Team, comprised of several members of the congregation, meet periodically to view the Fund’s performance and to distribute proceeds.
